Requirements
  • Minimum requirement of a bachelors degree
  • Strong background in control engineering, dynamics, and signal processing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team Oriented: must be able to thrive in collaborative cross-functional environments
  • Hands-on experience in control system design, analysis, implementation, and validation
  • Familiarity with modeling electro-mechanical system
  • Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and C/C++
  • Experience with electromagnetic or piezoelectric actuators is a plus
  • Experience with high volume mass production is a plus
  • Knowledge of micro controller or embedded hardware/software is a plus
  • Knowledge of state-space techniques is a plus
  • Knowledge of nonlinear control technique is a plus
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics or equivalent with a specialization in control engineering
Responsibilities
  • Control system design, analysis, and integration for haptic actuators
  • Characterize and validate haptic module and system performance
  • Perform system modeling and simulation
  • Prototype bring-up, debug and characterization
  • Define factory test requirements for haptic system
  • Author engineering requirements and specifications
  • Communicating cross-functionally and throughout management structure (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Perform failure mode analysis and problem solving
  • International travel to support the product development
  • IP generation
