Requirements
  • An M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree is required.
  • A license to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania is required, or the candidate must be eligible for Pennsylvania licensure.
  • DEA licensure is required.
  • Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
  • Candidates must have 0–1 year of work experience or related experience in a specified medical field.
  • The clinician must maintain an unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania or the applicable affiliate location.
  • The role requires extensive safety training and use of protective devices.
  • The role requires occasional lifting of 24–50 pounds and the ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, bend, and crouch as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient care to sick and well patients at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Philadelphia campus, estimated at 90% of the work time.
  • Perform procedures at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Philadelphia campus, estimated at 90% of the work time.
  • Participate in educational activities and case discussions, estimated at 5% of the work time.
  • Provide at least 50 hours per year of active, high-quality teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows, or perform equivalent service.
  • Provide inpatient hospital services as required.
  • Fulfill medico-administrative duties associated with membership on each hospital medical staff of which the clinician is a member.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, estimated at 5% of the work time.
