Requirements
  • 0-3 years of experience in construction project management or a related field.
  • A Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or commensurate experience.
  • Some knowledge of basic construction processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and the ability to work with others to achieve a common goal.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work intermittently in a professional office environment and on construction project sites.
  • Ability to regularly move through construction sites to inspect progress, occasionally ascend and descend ladders and stairs, and tolerate loud noise and dust exposure.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in pre-construction activities such as document review, scope development, and permit procurement.
  • Participate in regular project progress and review meetings and communicate with project partners and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain the project-specific Quality Management Program.
  • Participate in project issue resolution through a collaborative process and involve others when needed.
  • Participate in networking events and discuss CK Commercial with the AEC community in accordance with the company's mission and objectives.
  • Maintain strong subcontractor relationships that result in effective working relationships.
  • Participate in managing project budgets, including accurate and timely projections, change order management, owner billings, subcontractor payments, and value engineering.
  • Participate in risk management and safety efforts on projects and ensure company standards are met.
  • With project superintendents, proactively plan work activities to mitigate safety risks.
  • Work with the project management team to recognize and address safety-related issues while on site.
  • Help the project management team with schedule development efforts for assigned projects.
  • Help manage subcontractors to meet project objectives, including submittals, requests for information, executed subcontracts, material delivery, schedule, safety, and quality, and resolve issues in a timely manner with help from the project manager.
  • Support the field superintendent on building means and methods.
