About the job

Requirements
  • Two to four years of hands-on experience in a security, compliance, governance, risk and compliance, vendor risk, or procurement review role.
  • Working familiarity with third-party audit artifacts, including the ability to read and review SOC 2 reports and extract deeper understanding.
  • Understanding of core security and privacy concepts, including access controls, encryption, data classification, data residency, and the different tiers of security and privacy documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to critically review documentation and distinguish real risk from noise.
  • Comfort working within an established review process and contributing to its improvement.
  • Clear, evidence-first written communication.
  • Ability to determine when to work something out independently and when to involve a subject matter expert.
  • Strong organizational skills to keep multiple reviews moving and track outstanding actions.
Responsibilities
  • Review vendor security documentation submitted through the intake process, including SOC 2 reports, penetration test summaries, security whitepapers, AI disclosures, and questionnaire responses, and determine whether vendors meet Clio's required level of security and privacy.
  • Review App Marketplace integration submissions and evaluate the security and privacy documentation of integration partners applying to list on Clio; flag exceptions that could put customer data or Clio's brand at risk before a partner is added to the marketplace.
  • Identify when a vendor or integration will process confidential or sensitive data, triage it for privacy review, and route it into a Data Privacy Impact Assessment in partnership with Privacy and Compliance.
  • Escalate identified risks for risk acceptance by documenting and presenting them to the appropriate stakeholder for decision-making.
  • Move reviews through the workflow by tracking submissions, requesting missing artifacts from requesters and vendors, responding to comments, and handing off cleanly to IT, Legal, and executive sign-off.
  • Document findings and decisions, including what was reviewed, what was found, identified risks, and recommendations, so the rationale is reusable and audit-ready.
  • Maintain the third-party risk registry.
  • Support renewals and reassessments by re-reviewing vendors upon renewal or a change of scope.
  • Keep review criteria and runbooks accurate, follow the established process, and flag checklists, thresholds, or templates that are outdated or unclear.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to identify documentation gaps and suggest compensating controls where applicable.
  • Previous experience with governance, risk and compliance, third-party risk management, or vendor management tooling.
  • Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or GDPR/CCPA concepts in an audit context.
  • Experience with GDPR, CCPA, Data Privacy Impact Assessments, and/or privacy impact assessments.
  • CISA, CIPP/CIPM, CTPRP, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certification.

CTM integrates with Clio to link legal marketing spend to billable revenue

CTM, a global conversation analytics company, has launched an integration with legal software provider Clio. It links CTM's call tracking and lead attribution to law firms' client intake workflow. The integration maps inbound calls, texts, and form submissions to the matching Clio contact or matter. Firms can see which channels, campaigns, and keywords bring in the most valuable cases, and no longer need to log call details by hand. It is aimed at Clio's network of more than 150,000 legal professionals, especially solo practitioners and small firms. According to Clio, phone calls remain the top intake channel for new clients in the legal industry. "When a single click can cost more than $500, impressions and lead counts aren't enough," said Chris Lafferty, vice president of product and technology at CTM. CTM will show the integration at ClioCon in Boston on October 26-27.

CallRail's Voice Assist integrates with Clio to automate legal client intake 24/7

CallRail has expanded its partnership with Clio, integrating its Voice Assist AI tool with Clio Grow and Clio Manage platforms. The integration enables law firms to handle inbound calls and texts 24/7 using AI that can recognise existing clients, qualify new leads, and book consultations automatically. Voice Assist pulls client information from Clio to personalise interactions, greeting returning callers by name and skipping previously answered intake questions. For new callers, it runs standard intake procedures and creates contacts in Clio with full marketing attribution. The system schedules consultations directly into Clio Manage without requiring human intervention, including after-hours calls. CallRail serves more than 225,000 businesses worldwide. The integration is now available to law firms.

Clio acquires Jurisage to fuel AI expansion with Canada's largest legal database

Burnaby, BC-based Clio has acquired Toronto legaltech firm Jurisage to bolster its AI capabilities in Canada. The deal gives Clio access to one of Canada's most comprehensive AI-ready legal datasets, covering over 470,000 cases across more than 40 courts. Jurisage's 10-person team is joining Clio, which recently surpassed $500 million USD in annual recurring revenue and holds a $5-billion valuation. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition addresses gaps in Clio's Canadian legal database following its $1-billion USD purchase of vLex in 2025, which offered limited Canadian coverage. A recent Clio report found that 95 per cent of Canadian lawyers are using AI in their work. The move comes as foreign competitors like Harvey and Legora expand into the Canadian market.
