Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, report writing, Outlook, and Teams is required.
  • An active unrestricted driver's license is required.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack, bailer, box truck, and other warehouse equipment safely is required.
Responsibilities
  • Store, stock, and distribute medical supplies.
  • Restock par locations on patient care floors and deliver supplies to clinics and departments throughout the main hospital campus.
  • Pull and stage supplies ordered by off-campus clinics and departments.
  • Use handheld scanning units and the MMIS system for supply replenishment, inventory searches, quick issues, returns, credits, and related transactions.
  • Replenish assigned supply areas and process daily supply requisitions using the MMIS system.
  • Recommend adjustments to supply maximum and minimum levels based on usage and department feedback.
  • Pick, pull, and deliver supplies to requesting departments.
  • Receive freight, verify packing slips against shipments, report discrepancies, and put away stock while maintaining organized shelves.
  • Communicate low-stock and stock-out conditions to the supervisor or buyer.
  • Monitor and rotate inventory to prevent obsolescence and reduce spoilage.
  • Perform periodic cycle counts and participate in the annual physical inventory.
  • Maintain clean, neat, and orderly supply rooms and storerooms.
  • Check warehouse sections for expired or soon-to-expire supplies.
  • Coordinate schedules for moving items from the warehouse to other locations with drivers and end users.
  • Work with inventory owners to prevent items from sitting unused.
  • Support the Finance Department with equipment inventory stored at the warehouse.
  • Respond to emergency, after-hours, telephone, and customer supply requests.
  • Operate handheld scanning devices for inventory replenishment and tracking.
  • Process supply requests using designated inventory management software and deliver materials on time.
  • Break down and dispose of cardboard and packaging materials while maintaining a clean work area.
  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures when handling, storing, and delivering medical supplies and equipment.
  • Report warehouse, facility, fleet, equipment, and inventory safety hazards or maintenance deficiencies.
  • Operate a box truck as needed and perform vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and mileage-record maintenance.
  • Work at the general supply warehouse or deliver supplies to outlying facilities when required.
  • Participate in meetings, special projects, and safety calls as assigned.

  • Additional certification relevant to the job duties from a college or technical school is preferred.
