About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of facility maintenance experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of HVAC experience is required.
- EPA certification is required.
- A clean Department of Motor Vehicles driving record is required.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building systems is required.
- Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating manuals, and technical procedures is required.
- Ability to troubleshoot and organize work and manage time effectively is required.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening is required.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation is required.
- Ability to stand and walk continuously and move throughout multiple facility locations is required.
- Ability to kneel, bend, climb ladders, work at heights, lift up to 50 pounds, and push up to 100 pounds is required.
- Ability to work outdoors and in extreme heat or cold, high or precarious places, and environments with loud noise, fumes, or airborne particles is required.
- Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, the ability to adjust focus, and clear hearing are required.
- Conduct regular inspections of assigned store locations to assess facility conditions and system performance.
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform minor electrical repairs, including replacing outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, ballasts, fuses, and cords.
- Complete minor plumbing repairs, including leak repair, faucet replacement, and drain maintenance.
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, and masonry work as needed.
- Identify preventive maintenance needs and develop appropriate repair action plans.
- Communicate repair priorities, timelines, and status updates with store managers and leadership.
- Document completed work and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Order parts and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Respond to after-hours and weekend emergency maintenance needs as required.
- Maintain the company vehicle, tools, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Comply with safety policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
