Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree or relevant experience in a related field is required.
  • Seven to ten years of related experience is required.
  • An active TS/SCI clearance with a counterintelligence polygraph is required.
  • The required Department of Defense Directive 8570.1 Information Assurance Technical Level II or higher certification must be held or obtained within six months.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently and in team environments, take on tasks quickly with minimal direction, and lead others.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with close attention to detail are required.
  • The candidate must understand and appropriately apply Department of Defense policy and technical security guidance to information systems.
  • Expert-level Linux systems administration and engineering, general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking, and network security concepts are required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform tasks and complete customer requests using the ServiceNow delivery platform.
  • Resolve incident tickets issued through ServiceNow.
  • Onboard customer assets, including operating systems, applications, and network devices, in multiple enclaves.
  • Lead the exploration of emerging technologies by arranging demonstrations, providing technical evaluations, and contributing to the customer's roadmap development.
  • Assist program and project engineers in testing and implementing future enhancements.
  • Utilize, evaluate, and update engineering instruction sets and standard operating procedures.
  • Learn and perform testing of sophisticated Audit Security Information and Event Management platform applications in physical and virtual environments.
  • Perform Linux and Windows systems administration and engineering tasks related to the operational system.
  • Verify that segments operate as desired, audit events are processed and parsed properly, metrics are generated, and required systematic audit events are completed.
  • Perform the engineering, integration, and administration support required to deliver capabilities and services to the operational baseline.
  • Work in a government environment as part of a multi-contractor team.
  • Facilitate the enablement, collection, and verification of customer data within Security Information and Event Management tools.
  • Develop Security Information and Event Management search queries to support Enterprise Audit service requirements.
  • Learn custom audit solutions using advanced parsing techniques.
  • Lead and coordinate beta testing of future enhancements to the Audit Enterprise system and provide feedback.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the Certification and Accreditation process is preferred.
  • Experience building large-scale environment automation with Ansible or similar tools.
  • Experience providing architectural-level recommendations to program management and government officials while balancing frugality and efficiency.
  • Practical experience developing custom scripts using Bash, Python, Perl, or similar languages.
  • Experience coordinating complex, unconventional solutions for stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to ingest raw data and parse relevant fields for detection and correlation.
  • Cribl experience or certifications.
  • Splunk Architect or Core Consultant certification.
  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management platforms, preferably Splunk.
  • Cloud environment experience with Simple Queue Service, Simple Notification Service, Lambda, CloudFormation, Direct Connect, AWS load balancing, VPC peering, or relevant certifications.
  • Experience with Linux, Windows Server, Windows workstations, Red Hat, and CentOS.
  • Ability to modify feed creation to ingest customer logs in a standard format that meets policy requirements.
  • Familiarity with ICS 500-27 audit collection requirements.
  • Familiarity with Host-Based Security System, Enterprise Vulnerability Scanning Service, and User Activity Monitoring.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas for executive-level and technical staff audiences.
