Continual Improvement Associate

Job Description:

• Machine Shop/Assembly Inspector (Continuous Improvement Associate): - Caterpillar South Milwaukee 

• 2nd Shift Position

• Primary role is machining and assembly inspection

• Participate as a project team member and assists in data collection and analysis to support complex problem solving projects. 

• Review process improvements that support the project.

• Be able to perform process capability studies under the guidance of an engineer

Candidate Requirements:

• Proficient with typical Microsoft applications

• Capable of using tools including but not limited to Inside and outside micrometers, depth gage, vernier, caliper.

• Ability to read and interpret standards and blue prints

• Strong communication skills

• Capable of working up to 12 hours when needed

• Ability to work in confined spaces

• Comfortable working at heights up to 15 feet

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with NDT testing

• Magnetic particle testing

• SAP experience

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• This position is located at the Caterpillar manufacturing facility located in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin

• Shift is 2nd - Full Time

• This position starts at $25.86 to $28.02 hr -(depending on experience) plus an additional $1.00 for shift premium.

• No relocation assistance is available.
