Requirements
  • At least 2 years of work experience in loan syndications, leveraged finance, or high-yield debt capital markets, with current relationships or other relevant experience in an investor-facing environment.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both orally and in writing, with the ability to express ideas persuasively, in an organized and articulate manner.
  • Familiarity with legal documentation and the ability to understand complex financing structures.
  • A solid understanding of the loan capital markets, loan investor base, and financing structures relevant to the target sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines on active mandates in the syndicated loan market.
  • Strong networking skills internally and externally to the firm.
  • The candidate must be legally able to work in the United States without work restrictions and must be able to travel and work at any moment when given notice.
  • The candidate must successfully complete FINRA regulatory examinations covering the Securities Industry Essentials exam, Series 79, and Series 63.
  • The candidate must work in the New York City office four days per week.
Responsibilities
  • Closely and continuously follow market trends to identify active market participants, prevailing market terms and pricing, market depth, and other factors in lending and underwriting decisions, and translate the findings into relevant market updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Pitch and advise clients on market status, structures, and syndication strategies needed to achieve best execution in the syndicated loan capital markets.
  • Originate, structure, and execute syndicated senior and subordinated loans in partnership with sector teams to develop market-based structures and capital-raising solutions.
  • Manage the execution of syndicated loans, including negotiating terms and conditions, preparing marketing materials such as confidential information memoranda and lender presentations, conducting question-and-answer sessions with banks, and engaging in active dialogue with financial institutions and law firms.
  • Produce advisory materials for internal approvals to execute the primary sale of syndicated loans, including loan market analysis, opinions on credit structures, bank appetite, sell-down strategy, and pricing.
  • Develop relationships and maintain active dialogue with peers at other financial institutions as a source of market intelligence.
  • Work directly with senior leveraged finance and industry bankers, debt capital markets, internal risk teams, corporate finance, ratings advisors, and other bank areas on internal credit processes and external client servicing.
  • Organize bank meetings and lender calls to generate demand for deals led by ING.
  • Ensure compliance with ING policies for investors and maintain accurate financial revenue reporting and records.
Desired Qualifications
  • Background with leveraged finance, private credit, and/or capital markets experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Bloomberg and other market data sources is preferred.

Petredec secures $355M DFI-backed loan for seven gas carriers

Petredec, an international LPG trading and transport company, has signed a $355 million development finance institution-backed loan for seven of its segregated portfolio companies. The seven-year financing, which closed on 7 August, is secured by seven very large gas carriers. ING acted as sole bookrunner, coordinating bank, and account bank for the transaction. The deal involves seven of Petredec's portfolio companies, which operate in the liquefied petroleum gas sector. The financing structure uses the gas carriers as collateral, providing security for the DFI-backed loan facility.

ING Bank prices $2B dual-tranche covered bond with 8-year and 12-year maturities

Dutch bank ING has priced a dual-tranche covered bond offering worth €1.75 billion. The deal comprises a €750 million 8-year tranche and a €1 billion 12-year tranche. The 8-year tranche carries a 3.500% annual coupon, maturing on 14 September 2034. It was priced at mid-swaps plus 27 basis points with a yield of 3.603%. The 12-year tranche has a 3.75% annual coupon and matures on 14 September 2038. It was priced at mid-swaps plus 38 basis points, yielding 3.828%. Settlement is scheduled for 14 September 2026. BBVA, Commerzbank, DZ Bank, Erste Group, ING, NatWest and Santander served as lead managers for the transaction.

Swift Current Energy secures $750M credit facility to accelerate US clean energy development

Swift Current Energy has secured a $750 million corporate credit facility, with an option to expand by $250 million to reach $1 billion in total capacity. The facility will support the development of clean energy projects across the United States. Crédit Agricole CIB served as administrative agent and coordinating lead arranger alongside ING Capital and Truist Securities. The dual-tranche facility has a three-year term and provides flexible access to cash and letter of credit capacity. Since its founding in 2016, Swift Current has commercialised 5 gigawatts of clean energy projects, owns and operates more than 1 gigawatt, and has over 10 gigawatts in development. Chief executive officer Michael Arndt said the financing provides flexibility to advance the company's platform and bring new energy resources online efficiently.

Flexential secures $800M to develop 130+ MW of data centre capacity across four US markets

Flexential has secured an $800 million credit facility to fund data centre development across four US markets. The financing will support more than 130 MW of new capacity, including facilities under construction in Atlanta-Douglasville (36 MW), Portland-Hillsboro (36 MW), and Denver-Parker (22.5 MW). The facility was oversubscribed and increased 60% from an initial $500 million target. It is backed by an 11-bank syndicate, with TD Securities as administrative agent. The funding complements equity investment from Flexential's sponsors, GI Partners and MSIP. CEO Ryan Mallory said the financing enables the company to invest ahead of enterprise and AI-driven infrastructure demand. Flexential operates 40 data centres across 18 markets in the US.

DataVita secures $381M for AI data centres in Scotland's first AI Growth Zone

DataVita has secured a £300 million debt facility to expand and build two data centres in Scotland's North Lanarkshire AI Growth Zone. The financing, backed by a £202 million guarantee from the National Wealth Fund, comes from a syndicate including ING, ABN AMRO, Santander, the Scottish National Investment Bank and Siemens Financial Services. The investment will expand DataVita's existing DV1 data centre and fund construction of a new facility, DV3. Both are contracted to AI cloud firm CoreWeave under a 15-year lease. The developments will create around 600 construction jobs and approximately 100 permanent high-skilled positions. DataVita, Scotland's largest independent data centre operator, has served the country's digital infrastructure for over ten years. The project marks the National Wealth Fund's first support for domestic compute capacity, aligning with the government's Compute Roadmap and Scotland's AI strategy.
