Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities
Replenish shelves and displays with fresh fruits and vegetables, arrange produce aesthetically, and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
Cut and package fruits and vegetables for sale.
Inspect produce for spoilage or damage, remove substandard items, and ensure products meet safety and quality standards.
Use a wet rack to transport produce from the backroom to the sales floor.
Provide customer service to customers in the store and produce department, including offering produce samples.
Prepare fresh salad bags.
Clean the backroom and remove garbage.
Check the sales floor for spills and trip hazards, and sweep or mop the area two to three times per day and as needed.
Greet customers, address inquiries, provide recommendations, and assist customers in locating items.
Monitor inventory levels, place orders, receive deliveries, and verify the accuracy and quality of incoming stock.
Adhere to food safety regulations, maintain a clean and organized department, and handle equipment and products properly to prevent contamination.

A Produce Clerk is responsible for maintaining the produce department's cleanliness, organization, and inventory to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers. Key duties include:
