- Welcome guests and assist them in and out of vehicles by opening doors graciously and courteously, with particular assistance to children, elderly guests, and guests with disabilities.
- Inform guests of vehicle parking procedures.
- Attend the review of the daily event sheet with the Bell Captain and become familiar with regular guests.
- Know hotel facilities and stay updated on activities, promotions, and happenings in the hotel and city to provide accurate information.
- Assist Valet Parkers in issuing valet tickets to guests.
- Direct traffic flow at hotel driveways to ensure maximum safety.
- Coordinate with security to ensure strict implementation of safety procedures.
- Handle guests’ luggage promptly and professionally using safe handling techniques.
- Deputize for Bellmen when necessary by retrieving and loading guest items from cars, buses, vans, and carts.
- Grasp, lift, carry, and/or load luggage and packages onto a bell cart and transport items to the hotel lobby.
- Ensure luggage is retrieved and loaded or unloaded onto or from the correct vehicle with the guest, and reconfirm the number of items before allowing the vehicle to move.
- Respond positively to queries.
- Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards, including all safety policies.
- Report lost-and-found items.
- Perform other duties as assigned and requested.
