Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience are required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate fiscal, administrative, and personnel functions within the divisions.
  • Ability to manage administrative and financial activities, including operating and capital budget preparation, financial analysis, program planning and development, facilities, and information systems.
  • Ability to develop, monitor, and control hospital accounts; prepare and administer capital and operating budgets; review monthly reports; identify trends; explain variances; and monitor and control expenses.
  • Ability to develop, interpret, and track statistical measures and reports for provider productivity, review volume trends, address variances, and ensure proper payment for work undertaken.
  • Ability to oversee division operations, create workflows that reduce waste and improve patient outcomes, facilitate institutional resources, troubleshoot operational issues, and communicate clinical scheduling issues.
  • Ability to monitor schedule utilization, physician productivity, and patient access; determine appropriate actions; represent the divisions on the Ambulatory Clinical Council; and address patient satisfaction issues.
  • Ability to provide guidance on personnel administration, including recruitment, hiring, supervision, performance evaluation and management, compensation, progressive discipline, termination, employee rights and privileges, leave, disability, and benefits.
  • Ability to recruit, hire, manage, develop, and train office clerical staff; prioritize and allocate workload; and monitor staff compensation levels.
  • Ability to provide operational support to research projects, including hiring and managing research support staff, procuring goods and services, maintaining research portfolio knowledge, and managing project documents.
  • Ability to oversee procurement and purchasing functions, reconcile University reports, resolve problems, analyze revenue and expense trends, and advise faculty and staff on Finance, Accounting, and procurement policies and procedures.
  • Ability to coordinate fellowship programs by recruiting fellows, coordinating orientation and schedules, and assisting with reimbursements, certifications, and compliance.
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and managerial support for all aspects of administration for the General Neurology and Headache Center divisions and ensure necessary support for divisional activities.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate fiscal, administrative, and personnel functions within the divisions.
  • Manage administrative and financial activities for the General Neurology and Headache Center divisions.
  • Develop, monitor, and control hospital accounts and administer capital and operating budgets with the department finance team.
  • Review department and hospital monthly reports to identify trends, explain variances, and monitor expenses.
  • Develop, interpret, and track statistical measures and reports for provider productivity, volume trends, patient access, and schedule utilization.
  • Provide oversight of division operations and collaborate with leaders to create workflows that reduce waste and improve patient outcomes.
  • Facilitate institutional resources to troubleshoot information technology, finance, space, scheduling, and patient-related matters.
  • Represent the divisions on the Ambulatory Clinical Council and work with Chiefs to resolve patient issues.
  • Provide guidance to faculty and staff on personnel administration and manage, develop, and train office clerical staff.
  • Provide operational support to research projects and assist with research support staffing and procurement.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the division research portfolio and support the management and maintenance of research project documents.
  • Oversee procurement and purchasing functions for division accounts, including reconciliation, problem resolution, trend analysis, and policy compliance.
  • Coordinate fellowship programs by recruiting fellows, coordinating orientation and schedules, and assisting with reimbursements, certifications, and compliance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • Previous experience developing annual capital and operational budgets.
