Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation and automation engineering is required.
- Proficiency in programmable logic controller programming, human-machine interface development, and supervisory control and data acquisition systems is required.
- Strong understanding of industrial sensors, actuators, variable-frequency drives, and control loops is required.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code, International Society of Automation standards, and other relevant standards is required.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Design, install, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems for industrial equipment and processes.
- Develop and troubleshoot automation systems, including programmable logic controllers, human-machine interfaces, and supervisory control and data acquisition platforms.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical and control system failures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize process control and automation strategies.
- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical and instrumentation assets.
- Support commissioning and startup of new equipment and automation projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including wiring diagrams, loop sheets, and control logic.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in hazardous area classification and intrinsic safety.
- Project management and budgeting experience.
- Ability to train and mentor technicians and junior engineers.
