Requirements
  • Eight years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Knowledge of Hanford Site activities preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA).
  • Knowledge of the National Contingency Plan regulations (40 CFR 300).
  • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Interior NRDA regulations (43 CFR Part 11).
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience in data management, quality assurance, and quality control processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in systems management.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to use a computer to communicate via email; proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools; advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word; proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio; ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.
  • Travel as coordinated with Technical Point of Contact; monthly travel may be necessary; location in Richland, WA or other specified locations
Responsibilities
  • Attend HNRTC meetings and support the DOE technical point-of-contact by capturing commitments and action items.
  • Prepare meeting summaries.
  • Assist RL in responding to Trustee information requests.
  • Interface with technical staff across RL and other DOE offices, with DOE contractors, and with other support organizations to obtain, consolidate, and summarize information for Trustee and HNRTC use.
  • Coordinate and track commitments and action items from meetings.
  • Develop project management tools and techniques for baselining and managing the Hanford injury assessment process (for example, work breakdown structures, schedules and cost estimates).
  • Assist in budget development and tracking.
  • Facilitate data management process and the data management system for the HNRTC.
  • Assist and facilitate implementation of the Data Management Plan for the Hanford Natural Resource Injury Assessment Process.
  • Act as liaison between the Data Management Team, the HNRTC, Technical Work Groups (TWGs), and principal investigators.
  • Assist in development of Data Acquisition Plans (DAP) for historical data acquisition and work planning and Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP) for new data acquisition.
  • Present documents to the HNRTC for approval and relay status back to the TWGs.
  • Track data management activities for the HNRTC.
  • Assist in tracking and documenting the progress of studies.
  • Assist in the documentation of study conclusions and closeout summaries.
  • Facilitate, develop, edit, and finalize technical reports for DOE review and approval.
  • Write memorandums and white papers for the HNRTC.
  • Review work plans/QAPPs, and proposals for work plans.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) prior to collection and/or analysis of environmental data.
  • Assist in development and quality assurance of DAPs, QAPPs, and work plans.
  • Coordinate with the HNRTC’s affiliate Data Management Team from Hanford Mission Essential Services (HMSE) contractor(s) to ensure integrity and completeness of data.
  • Facilitate the verification and validation of the historical and newly acquired data for the Hanford Natural Resource Damage Assessment.
  • Identify and delegate responsibility for responding to specific QA needs and provide guidance regarding compliance.
  • Annually participate in the review and potential revision of the Data Management Plan, and obtain document approvals.
  • Assist and perform data searches and data uploads to the data management system.
