- Able to complete phlebotomy and electrocardiogram training within 90 days of hire if these are not part of the core curriculum of the certification course.
- Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and an active Patient Care Technician Certification.
- CPCT-A certification is required.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification is required.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Support the overall plan of care.
- Communicate directly with and support the healthcare team, patients, and their families or significant others.
- Maintain high standards of professional ethics.
- Contribute to the delivery of quality patient care within the organization.
