Requirements
  • A master's degree or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in an academic major in Computer Science or Information Technology, including one of the listed relevant fields.
  • Three to five years of work-related experience in the field with demonstrated evidence of proficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and deliver instruction in didactic, laboratory, and classroom settings to promote student success in a community college setting.
  • Support and promote college and departmental teaching and learning missions through quality instruction, curriculum enhancement, and timely service.
  • Collaborate with the chair, faculty, and peers to evaluate, revise, and develop curriculum that cultivates mastery of course content.
  • Demonstrate technological literacy and innovation in instructional delivery.
  • Participate collaboratively as part of an academic team.
  • Assist with implementing college policies, objectives, and functions in accordance with college philosophy, mission, strategic initiatives, and procedures.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and collegewide committees as needed.
  • Provide students with frequent, timely assessment and clear feedback regarding academic performance.
  • Document student progress and maintain records, including attendance, grading, and student learning outcomes.
  • Develop methods to fairly and accurately assess student progress toward stated learning outcomes and objectives.
  • Maintain office hours proportionate to the instructional assignment.
  • Protect the privacy and security of student records and sensitive information in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Comply with college rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws governing public employees, including document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
  • Provide courteous, informed, accessible, and professional service engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five years of progressive work experience in Information Technology.
  • Two years of related teaching experience.
