With over 25 years of experience, Ganser has led and advised middle market organisations through growth and transformation. Throughout his career as entrepreneur, CEO and adviser, he has worked with founders, management teams and private equity investors on growth acceleration, strategic acquisitions and ownership transitions. The firm's Advisory Practice has expanded significantly through organic growth and recent mergers and acquisitions. Cohen & Co has acquired several firms since 2024, including Tax & Wealth Management, Tassi and Company, and Gioffre & Company. Ganser is based in the firm's Chicago office.
Cohen & Co has appointed Andrew Palko as partner in its Asset Management Group, based in Chicago. Palko brings nearly 25 years of experience working with asset management firms, banking institutions and private equity firms, specialising in financial accounting, audits and regulatory compliance. He holds a master's degree in Professional Accountancy from Indiana University and completed Harvard's Leadership Programme. Palko will focus on private and registered fund assurance services. The appointment strengthens Cohen & Co's Asset Management Group, which serves funds and asset managers globally. The firm is the third-largest auditor of registered funds in the US and fifth-largest auditor of public and private fund assets worldwide, auditing over 2,700 funds. Founded in 1977, Cohen & Co has more than 800 professionals across 15 US offices.
Cohen & Company Inc. reported 246% total revenue growth in Q4 2025, driven primarily by Cohen & Company Capital Markets, which saw revenue surge 370% year-over-year and now accounts for 67% of company revenue. The firm maintained its number one ranking in SPAC IPO underwritings and led in de-SPAC advisory transactions. The company achieved $2,300,000 revenue per employee with 126 staff members and successfully closed its Columbus Circle Capital Corp I SPAC, generating $33 million in principal transactions revenue. For 2026, management expects Q1 revenue to substantially exceed prior-year levels. Strategic priorities include reducing SPAC dependency by expanding into traditional M&A mandates and scaling its fixed income trading business to $60-65 million. The firm plans to add eight fixed income staff and five investment banking employees, including three to five new managing directors.
