Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Mechanical Engineer
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Knowledge within the Mechanical Engineering discipline specialty
  • Understanding and ability to apply basic fundamentals in Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer
  • Technical skills in mechanical design for heavy industries, Oil & Gas processes, material handling, plumbing, or HVAC
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience using specialty mechanical engineering software
  • Knowledge of 2D AutoCAD and basic knowledge of 3D AutoCAD
Responsibilities
  • Generate Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) for Oil & Gas processes and non-process utility systems
  • Review vendor provided documents for compliance with project requirements
  • Develop process control strategies and draft mechanical scope of work document
  • Specify specialty items and generate data sheets
  • Perform and document engineering calculations and simulations
  • Review pressure relief valve scenarios and design pressure relief devices
  • Manage projects and develop man-hour estimates
  • Develop specifications for equipment purchase or construction
  • Interact with vendors and coordinate engineering efforts with other departments
  • Verify field conditions and assist in field surveys
  • Develop construction drawings and prepare specifications for purchase and construction
  • Identify out of scope work on projects
