Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience running payroll and human resources information systems or human capital management systems.
  • A human resources generalist or human resources business partner background with broad exposure across the employee lifecycle.
  • Experience working directly with clients in consulting, professional services, professional employer organizations, or agencies.
  • Hands-on administrator experience with a core human resources information system and payroll platform such as HiBob, Dayforce, or Rippling.
  • Deep knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance, tax, and wage and hour requirements.
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to troubleshoot integrations independently.
  • Communication, stakeholder management, and advisory skills.
  • Ability to operate in a lean, fast-scaling environment with high ownership expectations.
  • Generalist capability across technology, payroll, innovation, people analytics, operations, and people and culture, with strong data storytelling skills.
  • Client and project management capability, including ownership of relationships, deadlines, and end-to-end delivery.
  • Facilitation skills for leading implementation workshops and stakeholder sessions.
  • Ability to identify scalable improvements and improve processes.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end payroll processing, accuracy, and compliance across all applicable states.
  • Manage the payroll calendar, tax filings, garnishments, and off-cycle payroll runs.
  • Serve as the escalation point for payroll discrepancies and audits.
  • Administer and maintain the core human resources information system, including workflows, permissions, and data integrity.
  • Manage system integrations across human resources information systems, performance, payroll, benefits, and other downstream tools.
  • Lead configurations for clients implementing new payroll and human capital management systems, including change management, new module rollouts, and system upgrades.
  • Build and maintain automated workflows to reduce manual human resources administration.
  • Partner with People team leaders to translate process needs into system design.
  • Own human resources data integrity, reporting, and audit readiness across systems.
  • Ensure payroll and human resources information system practices meet federal, state, and local compliance requirements.
  • Deliver dashboards and reporting that support workforce planning and objectives and key results.
  • Optimize human resources processes, policies, and systems for efficiency and compliance.
  • Implement core human resources practices, including onboarding, employee relations, and policy development.
  • Advise on federal, state, and local employment law compliance.
  • Own client relationships, deadlines, and end-to-end project delivery.
  • Lead implementation workshops and stakeholder sessions.
