About the job
- At least 1 year of experience in an office, business, or administrative environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, or willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to earn Door and Hardware Industry Associate (DHIA) certification within six months of hire.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine door, frame, and hardware requirements.
- Prepare accurate door and hardware schedules (submittals) for customer and architect approval using industry-specific software.
- Assist with entry-level detailing projects under the guidance of experienced Detailers and management.
- Interpret project plans, specifications, and contract requirements to ensure accurate product selection.
- Review and incorporate approved change orders while communicating project impacts as needed.
- Provide technical support to project managers, sales, purchasing, and operations teams.
- Develop proficiency with detailing software and DH Pace processes while supporting the overall project team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete projects within established timelines.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of commercial doors, frames, and hardware is preferred but not required.
