Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Supply Chain, or a related field is required; additional experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
  • Knowledge of healthcare coding and billing systems.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Six years of healthcare-related experience is preferred.
  • Charge Master, EAP, and coding experience are highly preferred.
  • Coding certification is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and email etiquette to support internal and external customers.
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems, including resolving charge and coding issues.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations and manage competing priorities independently.
  • Organizational skills and an innovative approach to problem resolution.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across entities and disciplines.
  • Ability to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions, and assist leadership in solving problems and issues.
  • Ability to recognize personal strengths and weaknesses and develop goals for professional growth and achievement.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine data validation and collaborate with outside vendors.
  • Perform monthly Chargemaster maintenance and lead code update initiatives.
  • Audit and examine the Chargemaster routinely, analyze charge capture data, and perform revenue monitoring functions.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure accurate charging, complete documentation, and efficient billing in accordance with government regulations.
  • Resolve charge and coding issues, and manage databases and reports.
