About the job

Requirements
  • Personally owned customer acquisition at a B2B SaaS company through at least 3x ARR growth.
  • Able to identify scaled channels, spending, customer acquisition cost, payback, and what failed.
  • Built an acquisition engine from a low base rather than inheriting and optimizing an existing one.
  • Sold to marketing teams, agencies, or enterprise brands and understand how these buyers find and choose software.
  • Managed a seven-figure annual acquisition budget and been accountable for its return.
  • Run product growth experiments and show hypotheses, results, and shipped work.
  • Worked inside a product team, written specifications engineers built from, and held a share of a roadmap.
  • Fluent in product analytics, including recognizing when a result is not significant enough to act on.
  • Improved signup, activation, or trial-to-paid conversion with measurable results.
  • Built and shipped AI agents or automations that replaced real headcount or manual work in a growth function, with examples to show.
  • Daily experience with tools such as Claude, Claude Code, Clay, n8n, and Cursor.
  • Comfortable using SQL to retrieve data independently.
  • Hands-on ability to build campaigns, write copy, and configure tooling.
  • Able to make decisions with incomplete data and correct them within days.
  • Direct about what is not working, including personal bets.
Responsibilities
  • Own customer acquisition and growth across product acquisition and bringing buyers to the product.
  • Carry quarterly targets for new customers, qualified pipeline, and growth-sourced new annual recurring revenue.
  • Own customer acquisition cost, payback period, and channel-level unit economics, tracking weekly costs and returns.
  • Set the acquisition budget and reallocate it weekly based on performance.
  • Run paid, outbound, partnership, event, creator, founder-led content, and product-led acquisition as one system with one pipeline number.
  • Identify and scale two or three channels capable of carrying 30% or more of new pipeline each, and stop channels without clear payback or value added.
  • Build acquisition for self-serve entry plans and large custom contracts with agencies and enterprise brands.
  • Build scripts, agents, or internal tools when needed, and automate repeatable tasks before hiring someone to do them.
  • Set the growth team's operating standard around automation.
  • Use the company's product and data to drive customer acquisition.
  • Jointly own the growth experiment backlog with Product; ensure experiments have written hypotheses, success metrics, cost caps, and kill criteria.
  • Ship weekly experiments across landing pages, signup, onboarding, pricing and packaging, free tools, in-product prompts, and referrals.
  • Own the conversion funnel from first visit through signup, activation, and payment.
  • Develop product-led acquisition mechanisms such as free audits, shareable reports, and white-label surfaces.
  • Bring channel learnings and buyer feedback into the product roadmap with supporting data.
  • Maintain a public company-wide experiment log that includes failed experiments and promote conversion- and commercial-focused behavior across the organization.
  • Hire a small team of builders or repurpose people from the existing business.
  • Report acquisition performance weekly to the Head of Product and CEO.
  • Build campaigns, write copy, and configure tools directly during the first six months.

About the company

Searchable Limited provides an AI search optimization platform that helps brands improve visibility in AI-generated answers. It tracks how often a brand is mentioned across multiple AI models (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) and analyzes this 'dark traffic' to reveal performance unseen in traditional search. The platform includes a visibility analytics dashboard integrated with Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console, a content creation engine for AI-optimized content, and an interactive agent that explains performance in plain English. Its goal is to help brands be seen as definitive, trustworthy sources by large language models while offering multi-model visibility, compliance with UK GDPR and the Digital Services Act, and tiered subscription plans.

Searchable launches Prompt Universe to end the guesswork in AI prompt tracking.

Searchable launches Prompt Universe to end the guesswork in AI prompt tracking. New AEO tool unveils the tens of thousands of questions buyers can ask, and challenges an industry practice of scoring brands on prompt lists that barely cover a fraction of their market. 2 minutes read LONDON, Sept. 30, 2026 - AI visibility platform Searchable has launched Prompt Universe, a feature that maps the hidden market of questions buyers could ask AI about a brand, its products, competitors, category and buying situations, before recommending the set worth tracking. According to Searchable, answer engine optimization (AEO) has a "prompt problem", whereby brands can report strong AI visibility scores while measuring against a narrow and highly synthetic selection of prompts. In its experience, businesses moving to them from other providers can track as little as 2 percent of their relevant prompt coverage, with many larger businesses tracking less than 0.3 percent. "AEO has a prompt problem, which Searchable's Prompt Universe is now solving," said Chris Donnelly, CEO and co-founder of Searchable. "If you're only seeing a small segment of what customers ask about your business's key revenue drivers, how confident can you be in your AI visibility score, and in the optimization decisions you make from it?" Donnelly continued: "Most brands track a few hundred prompts they guessed. Prompt Universe maps the questions buyers could ask AI about your business, often in the hundreds of thousands. Then we narrow that down to the set worth tracking." The feature covers every stage of the buying journey, from early research through to comparison and purchase. It builds questions from the brand's own site, the language buyers use about its category, where those buyers search online, and the follow-up searches AI engines run when answering questions in that market. Each question is then tagged by product, audience, competitor, location and situation, so a brand can see what it is missing. To illustrate how far a prompt universe can reach, Searchable ran the tool's analysis independently for a selection of major brands, including Delta Air Lines. The analysis mapped more than 115,000 possible prompt permutations for Delta, generated from 11 topics, 436 subtopics and variables such as buyer demographics, routes and fare types. Filtering those down to the questions a buyer would realistically ask about the airline revealed more than 33,000 prompts for consideration. But Searchable's argument is not that brands should track everything, or even far more than they do now. Prompt Universe was built to move brands from asking "what prompts should we track?" to seeing what their current prompt set misses, and choosing the one that is most representative and commercially relevant. "Every prompt has to earn its place in AI visibility tracking," said Ivan Slobodin, founding AEO product lead at Searchable. "The goal is to give brands a complete view of the opportunity first, then help them build a focused tracking plan around what matters most to the business." Prompt Universe is now being rolled out to existing Searchable customers. Searchable launches Prompt Universe to map hidden buyer questions for AI visibility tracking

Searchable has launched Prompt Universe, a tool that maps the questions buyers could ask AI about a brand before recommending which ones to track. The AI visibility platform says answer engine optimisation has a "prompt problem", with brands reporting strong scores whilst measuring against narrow prompt selections. According to Searchable, businesses moving from other providers can track as little as 2 per cent of their relevant prompt coverage, with larger businesses tracking less than 0.3 per cent. The feature builds questions from a brand's site, buyer language, online search patterns and AI engine follow-up searches, tagging each by product, audience, competitor, location and situation. An independent analysis of one major international airline mapped over 115,000 possible prompt permutations, which filtered down to over 33,000 realistic buyer questions.

Preston Melle joins Searchable as Head of Customer Success.

Preston Melle joins Searchable as Head of Customer Success. Searchable has appointed Preston Melle as Head of Customer Success, adding a new leadership role focused on customer relationships and experience as the company continues to operate in the evolving search and AI visibility landscape. In his new role, Melle will oversee customer success activities, with a focus on supporting customers throughout their relationship with Searchable. The position places customer engagement, retention, and the ongoing delivery of value at the center of his responsibilities. The appointment comes as the role of customer success continues to evolve within technology companies. For businesses operating in areas such as search, SEO, and AI-driven discovery, customers increasingly need ongoing guidance as platforms, search behavior, and measurement approaches change. Customer success teams are consequently taking on responsibilities that extend beyond traditional support. They often work closely with customers to understand changing requirements, identify challenges, coordinate with internal product and service teams, and ensure that technology is being applied effectively to business objectives. Melle's appointment comes against this broader shift. As marketers adapt to changes in how audiences discover information through search engines and AI-powered platforms, organizations are also evaluating how their digital presence performs across these emerging environments. Search visibility has become increasingly complex as traditional search engine optimization intersects with generative AI, answer engines, and changing user behavior. This creates an ongoing need for companies to monitor performance and adjust their strategies rather than treating search as a one-time marketing activity. For Searchable, Melle's new position places customer success within this evolving environment, with responsibility for maintaining customer relationships and supporting their ongoing needs. The appointment adds customer-focused leadership to Searchable as the company continues to work in a market where SEO, AI visibility, and digital discovery are becoming increasingly interconnected. Melle's move marks the start of his new role as Head of Customer Success, with his focus now centered on customer relationships and success at Searchable.

Searchable opens Salt Lake City office and hires two from Scrunch.

Searchable opens Salt Lake City office and hires two from Scrunch. Valued at $85 million after a $14 million raise in May, the UK's largest answer engine optimization (AEO) startup adds a Utah base and two hires from Scrunch AI. Searchable // Aug 28, 2026 SALT LAKE CITY - Searchable, an AI visibility and Agentic Marketing platform, has opened an office in Salt Lake City and hired two staff from local competitor Scrunch AI. Tony Posselli joins as head of sales and Preston Boling as a founding GTM hire after their previous employer Scrunch was sold to Sitecore for a reported $225 million. Both will lead Searchable's US go-to-market from the new office, which opened in August at The Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City. This is Searchable's second US office opening in seven months, following the launch of its New York base in January. Salt Lake City is one of the few US cities where AI visibility already folds into a thriving local tech scene. Searchable's expansion here adds to a market that CBRE ranks 16th among North American tech hubs in its 2025 Scoring Tech Talent report. Searchable launched in December 2025 and now works with over 1,000 brands. It tracks mentions, citations and comparisons across 10 AI engines, then advises companies on how to get named and recommended inside AI-generated answers. Its corpus covers close to 1 billion AI citations and more than 400 million brand mentions. In May 2026 the company raised $14 million led by Headline at an $85 million valuation, in a market projected to reach $10.7 billion by 2031. "Salt Lake City has built a real cluster around AI search, and we're delighted to hire into this talent pool," said Chris Donnelly, co-founder and CEO of Searchable. "Tony and Preston know how valuable AI visibility tracking is to American brands, with two years of experience in an industry that's barely older than that." "AI visibility tools have grown enormously in their capabilities," said Tony Posselli. "Working at Searchable means I can provide companies with their own customized agent and clear workflows on top of deep AI analytics." "Every business I talk to about AI wants the same thing, which is to see what AI says about them before their customers do," said Preston Boling. "That's a much easier conversation to have with Searchable's data behind it." About Searchable: Founded in London and New York in late 2025 by British entrepreneur Chris Donnelly alongside American co-founders Sam Hogan and Arya Nagabhyru, Searchable is an AI performance platform that helps brands understand, track and improve how they appear across AI-led search.
