Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology, or Master of Science degree in Information Technology or a related field, or a Master of Computer Applications or Bachelor of Science degree with a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • At least 2 years of experience with hospital IT systems.
Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage the IT department to deliver high-quality support and innovation.
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term departmental goals.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, including ISO standards.
  • Maintain effective communication and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Supervise daily tape backups, scheduling reports, and database management systems.
  • Optimize Oracle table-spaces to enhance the Hospital Information System's performance.
  • Monitor network load and external connectivity, including firewall security and broadband access.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain interconnectivity and functionality of IT equipment, including personal computers, printers, and drives.
  • Develop disaster recovery strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Provide IT orientation and ongoing training for employees.
  • Mentor IT staff and monitor their performance through appraisals and feedback.
  • Support educational experiences for IT project trainees and encourage staff participation in seminars.
  • Act as a departmental representative in conflict resolution and policy discussions.
  • Maintain departmental ISO audit reports and ensure adherence to ISO principles.
  • Manage departmental budgets and oversee cost control measures.
