  • 12+ years of relevant experience in commercial supply or aligned function within the pharmaceutical industry
  • University degree in science (chemistry, biology, pharmacy, or engineering) and/or business administration
  • Demonstrated experience in leading commercial packaging and distribution activities before and after commercial launch
  • Previous experience implementing an Expanded Access Program
  • Demonstrated ability to implement an ERP system to facilitate inventory management and production planning and familiarity with designing and implementing information technology systems that support commercial supply activities
  • Deep experience in regulatory and commercial quality requirements governing distribution of commercial pharmaceuticals
  • Expertise in supporting the financial planning processes (e.g., forecasting, strategic planning)
  • Proven track record working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to develop a strong network among fellow employees
  • Ability to develop new business relationships and nurture partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for commercial supply chain function and related disciplines. Including: launch planning, demand/supply/capacity planning, sourcing, packaging and graphics development, inventory management, order management and distribution
  • Work collaboratively with finance, quality, manufacturing, and the commercial team to build new infrastructure and establish policies, procedures, and systems to support commercialization efforts
  • Select, contract and on-board required vendors to support commercialization efforts. Including: packaging, labeling, logistics, third-party logistics (3PL), serialization, state licensing support, Expanded Access, and ERP systems
  • Partner with Commercial, Clinical Operations and Manufacturing to understand demand assumptions, and translate those assumptions into a combined demand forecast and supply plan
  • Drive the development and execution of the Sales & Operations Planning process in partnership with commercial operations and clinical development personnel
  • Select appropriate commercial packaging to ensure that product meets local requirements for branding, and regulatory compliance
  • Create and manage the graphic design, approval and update process for commercial packaging to ensure printed packaging and inserts are available at launch and compliant with regulatory and marketing requirements
  • Support validation of packaging, serialization, and transportation processes
  • Manage the day-to-day activities at the commercial supply vendors
  • Identify applicable SOPs, both developed and to be executed
  • Monitor and report supply-related key performance indicators as a basis to drive continuous improvement and evaluate launch performance
  • Support business planning and development activities as required
  • Be an active member of product launch teams; build detailed launch supply timeline to ensure availability as fast as possible post approval; support Life-cycle programs as required
