Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education and experience/knowledge.
  • At least 2 years of related experience and successful completion of the Pharmavite Technician Program.
  • Must have or be able to complete Powered Industrial Trucks certification training.
  • Ability to apply basic math, including addition, multiplication, and division, to calculate and adjust equipment, calculate parameters and quality control measures, perform conversions, and understand decimal placement using an electronic device.
  • Working knowledge of regulated health, sanitation, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to discern product varieties of color, weights, flavor, and general appearance.
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices, basic safety practices in an industrial environment, production goals, and performance objectives.
  • Ability to solve equipment problems and escalate issues when assistance is needed.
  • Ability to perform routine preventive equipment maintenance through regular inspections and assigned preventive maintenance work orders, including replacing parts to minimize production loss.
  • Computer literacy, including use of Microsoft applications and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with continuous change initiatives.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and communicate standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, safety practices, and manufacturing standards, ensuring accurate product counts and correct labels for orders.
  • Ability to learn additional operations and flexibility to change work assignments, departments, and shifts according to business needs.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing or walking for a full shift, repetitive duties, lifting and moving loads, operating material-handling equipment, using hand tools, climbing stairs and platforms, bending, and scooping product.
  • Ability to work safely by following standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices without endangering oneself or others.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, hearing protection, hair net, safety shoes, and department uniforms.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and adjust manufacturing equipment, including changeovers, start-up, shutdown, material handling, and maintenance.
  • Monitor equipment parameters such as meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls to meet production and quality specifications.
  • Perform housekeeping, cleaning, sanitation, required documentation, and quality control checks in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Perform critical control checks, resolve or escalate issues involving safety, quality compliance, equipment status, and support needs.
  • Use and communicate production information to manage daily operations, including Manufacturing Daily Information boards and electronic platforms.
  • Safely operate material-handling equipment, electric hand trucks, walk-along pallet lifts, hoists, and other required equipment.
  • Master the technical systems required for the role.
  • Identify and resolve common equipment issues through troubleshooting and equipment adjustments with minimal assistance.
  • Perform equipment changeovers and setups, including cleaning and inspecting changeover parts, reviewing checklists, assisting with setup and start-up, and supporting equipment lines.
  • Complete required training and assist in training others.
  • Perform other related duties assigned to support business needs.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance through inspections, work orders, and parts replacement to minimize production loss.
