MTC Federal names Prisma Health Family YMCA as June recipient of $50K for 50 Years initiative. June 03, 2026 MTC Federal names Prisma Health Family YMCA as June recipient of $50K for 50 Years initiative | donation also supports Greenville Triumph SC "Pass It On" Clinic for local youth. June 1st, Greenville, SC - MTC Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that the Prisma Health Family YMCA in Simpsonville has been selected as the June nonprofit partner as part of the credit union's ongoing $50K for 50 Years community giveback initiative. The donation includes both a direct donation to the YMCA and support for youth soccer opportunities in collaboration with Greenville Triumph SC. As part of the initiative, MTC Federal will donate $4,000 to support the YMCA and provide a community donation match of up to an additional $2,000, helping further expand the organization's impact throughout the community. In addition to the donation, MTC Federal is continuing its partnership with the Greenville Triumph SC "Pass It On" Clinic, a youth soccer clinic designed to expand access to the sport for local children, by providing 50 complimentary clinic registrations for Prisma Health Family YMCA youth who receive financial assistance to participate in the branch's soccer program. The donated registrations will provide these children, who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend, with the ability to do so at no cost to their families. This marks MTC Federal's second consecutive year supporting the clinic initiative, which focuses on youth development, wellness, and community engagement through soccer. "This donation to the Prisma Health Family YMCA truly reflects the spirit of MTC Federal and our commitment to supporting the communities we serve," said Kimberly Witt, President & CEO of MTC Federal. "The YMCA has long been a cornerstone of youth development and community support, and we're proud to not only support their mission financially but also to help create meaningful opportunities for children and families through the Greenville Triumph SC 'Pass It On' Clinic." The $50K for 50 Years initiative was launched as part of MTC Federal's 50th anniversary celebration, reinforcing the organization's ongoing commitment to giving back and supporting local nonprofit organizations making a positive impact. "We are incredibly grateful for MTC Federal's generosity, not only with the financial donation to our youth sports program, but also for the registrations for our players to participate in the Greenville Triumph SC 'Pass it On' Clinic," said Matthew Gilstrap, associate executive director of the Prisma Health Family YMCA. "Support like this allows us to continue expanding opportunities for local youth and families while strengthening the sense of community that organizations like MTC Federal, the YMCA, and Greenville Triumph value so deeply." MTC Federal encourages members and the community to participate in the matching donation opportunity throughout the month of June to help maximize support for the Prisma Health Family YMCA and its programs. MTC Federal Credit Union joining Habitat for Humanity for 2026 build. March 1, 2026 MTC Federal Credit Union, a prominent financial institution with deep roots in the Fountain Inn community, has officially announced its partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County for the 2026 Credit Union Build. The project, which kicked off with a wall-raising ceremony on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, aims to address the growing need for affordable housing in the Upstate. The Fountain Inn-based credit union is joining a coalition of 11 local financial cooperatives to fund and construct a first-of-its-kind duplex in the Bramlett community. Located at 101A Sturtevant Street, this build is a centerpiece of Habitat Greenville's 40th Anniversary Collective, a milestone initiative celebrating four decades of community service. MTC Federal's involvement in the project coincides with its own 50th-anniversary celebration this year. As part of its "Celebrating 50 Years of Service, Strength, and Community" theme, the credit union has pledged a $50,000 community giveback initiative titled $50K for 50. A significant portion of these funds, including a direct $10,000 donation to the Habitat CU Build, will go toward ensuring local families have access to safe and stable homeownership. Beyond financial contributions, teams of volunteers from the Fountain Inn branch and the surrounding Upstate offices will provide hands-on labor throughout the spring and summer. These employees will work alongside the future homeowners to frame walls, install siding, and complete the interior of the new duplex. The partnership underscores the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People." By pooling resources with other local institutions, MTC Federal continues to invest in the long-term stability of the neighborhoods where its members live and work. The completed duplex will eventually provide two separate families with a foundation for financial independence and a place to call home.
