Vast is looking for an Operations Specialist, reporting to the Operations Manager to support the operations of the factory that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Long Beach offices. This position will enable employees to be productive and excited about their experience at work.

Responsibilities: 

• Assist in all aspects of organizing and moving equipment and supplies  Obtain bids from contractors for additional support 
• Evaluate and coordinate offsite storage of excess equipment and supplies Assemble furniture and ensure employees have seats for onboarding 
• Review plans and drawings to ensure understanding of layouts
• Answer questions regarding the scope and/or timing of the project 
• Ordering & stocking of supplies as needed 
• Event set-up and coordination 
• Various miscellaneous tasks that will assist in the day to day general operations of the company 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with facilities within an aerospace industry 
• Familiar with space planning procedures and operations 
• Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to easily navigate through different computer software programs 
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment 
• Ability to make independent judgments with limited information 
• Communication skills for relaying data (verbally and in-writing) between other employees, vendors, and customers 
• Logical and strategic approach to solving problems 
• Comfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic direction. 

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to work overtime, or weekends to support critical mission milestones
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs unassisted

Pay Range: 

• Operation Specialist II: $29 - $41/per hour
• Operation Specialist III: $38 - $48/per hour
