About the job
- Proven experience in project management within a fabrication or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.
- Ability to build resource-loaded schedules and understanding of critical path and float.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
- Preferred bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, or Engineering.
- At least 6 years of experience managing industrial projects in a fabrication environment.
- Ability to regularly walk, stand, and navigate active fabrication shop environments; occasionally climb ladders, access elevated work areas, and use manlifts; perform bending, reaching, and visual inspection tasks; and occasionally lift and carry materials up to 25–50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work extended hours, including overtime, weekends, or swing shifts as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions safely and effectively, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of fabrication projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and budgetary requirements.
- Serve as the primary contact for project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and report variances in scope, schedule, or budget.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure project milestones are met.
- Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Oversee compliance with safety regulations and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams.
- Perform other duties related to project management as assigned.
- Conduct financial forecasting and cost projections.
- Work in an environment with exposure to dust, noise, and industrial hazards, using required personal protective equipment at all times.
