Requirements
  • Earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study.
  • Current federal funding and research experience suggesting capability to attain consistent extramural funding is required.
  • The candidate must have a strong record of external research funding (and/or strong evidence of interest and capability in pursuing such funding and work).
  • Faculty defined pathways indicate appointment types (clinical, tenure-track, or research) and must align with research focus in computational psychiatry.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to training, research, and other scholarly pursuits in computational psychiatry.
  • Develop, lead or substantially contribute to education and research programs concerning computational psychiatry.
  • Conduct research using statistical and computational approaches to understand root causes (mechanisms) of mental health conditions, develop and evaluate tools for more accurate and rapid diagnosis, evaluate and implement statistical knowledge to enhance understanding of mental health diseases and care, and evaluate the effectiveness of mental health treatments using diverse clinical trial designs.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and scientists across psychosis, suicide, trauma, depression, addiction, and anxiety.
  • Pursue and secure external funding for research and contribute to grant development and administration.
  • Engage in teaching, mentoring, and other scholarly activities as part of the department's educational mission.
