About the job

Requirements
  • Four to six years running processes end to end in consulting, a startup operations role, or an equally demanding environment, with a record of leaving them better documented.
  • Build or establish a system, function, or product rather than only maintaining one.
  • Work precisely, including noticing missing receipts, incorrect dates, and undocumented steps.
  • Work with low ego and change position when the reasoning is sound.
  • Must already have the right to work in the United Kingdom; visa sponsorship may be considered after successful probation.
Responsibilities
  • Manage operational systems, suppliers, the office, onboarding, and registers that support the company.
  • Manage the office, equipment, suppliers, insurance, tools and subscriptions, onboarding, and offboarding; turn repeated tasks into systems.
  • Keep processes and registers current, including contracts, obligations, decisions, and policies, and document processes so another person could run them. Work with accountants and lawyers as inputs, without owning those areas.
  • Own defined projects from brief through completion, such as establishing a new entity process, reviewing benefits, or creating an operating cadence for a new team.
  • Gather numbers, prepare one-page briefs, and provide recommendations to the Founder and Chief of Staff.

About the company

Glot provides AI-driven real-time captioning and translation for live events, accessible directly on attendees’ smartphones. It supports 60+ languages and can deliver captions and translations without the need for specialized hardware or apps, using a simple QR code. The platform is scalable enough for 50–500 participants across multiple rooms and sessions, and is suitable for conferences, training, lectures, international meetings, and guided tours. It processes speech in real time with a privacy-by-design architecture and does not store data, ensuring GDPR compliance. Pricing is transparent with no hidden fees or per-language surcharges, aiming to be a turnkey solution that reduces costs compared with traditional interpreters and complex equipment. Glot’s goal is to make international events more inclusive and understandable by removing language barriers for multilingual audiences around the world.

What believers are saying

  • Glot’s August 2026 site claims 60-plus languages and browser-based attendee access.
  • The company says Vivatech, Sciences Po, and Institut Louis Bachelier already used Glot.
  • Transparent all-language pricing beats interpreter logistics, boosting adoption for recurring conferences.

What critics are saying

  • Wordly, KUDO, Interprefy, and Palabra crowd Glot’s 2026 event-translation market.
  • Expansion beyond 60 languages invites accuracy failures and support costs at multilingual scale.
  • If enterprise renewals stall, Glot becomes a niche feature, not standalone infrastructure.

What makes Glot unique

  • Glot’s June 2026 Series A raised $10.0 million, validating category traction.
  • QR-code, no-app, no-hardware deployment reduces event setup friction versus legacy interpretation systems.
  • Privacy-by-design, zero-storage processing fits GDPR-heavy conferences and confidential enterprise meetings.
