Requirements
  • Superb communication skills are required to ensure the comprehensive and timely delivery of solutions and events in our fast-paced and diverse environment.

  • 5+ years of advanced knowledge in media systems, demonstrating the ability to implement, support, and maintain A/V environments and or video production engineering.
  • Above average Windows, Mac, and Linux power users.
  • Proven knowledge of information technology systems, network infrastructure, and operations.
  • Expert knowledge is audio & video signal flows for production and enterprise environments.
  • Ability to follow technical drawings/documentation and rapidly solve AV and IT systems issues.
  • A calm professional working demeanour in high stress, time sensitive, and client sensitive situations.
  • Ability to Communicate technical concepts in less/non-technical terms, consistently applying functional expertise and advanced knowledge as a subject matter expert.
  • Aim to stay on the leading edge of technology and continue to learn.
  • Live environment pro A/V planning and production experience.
  • Ability to draft in CAD and understand building construction projects from an A/V perspective.
  • QSC QSYS setup and programming or other equivalent DSP.
  • In depth understanding Dante and AES67 audio (Dante level 2 or higher certification).
  • Understanding of video over IP formats - NDI, SRT, SMPTE 2110.
  • Experience with Crestron products especially NVX.
  • Experience working in command line, Terminal, and PowerShell.
  • Zoom admin experience.
  • Programming language proficiently JavaScript/JSON, Lua, and Python.
  • Understanding of surround sound standards such as Dolby Atmos.
  • VoIP phone systems.
  • Sound & music production technology infrastructure design.
Responsibilities
  • Provide tier 2-3 support and administration for assigned systems.
  • Remain vigilant and be a proactive problem solver to identify and prevent system issues and downtime.
  • Integrate approved technology and systems into infrastructure designs.
  • Participate in industry peer groups and with vendors to establish standards and common practices where applicable across industry.
  • Participate in the research and development process of new technology and services with the MS team.
  • Participate and handle the design, delivery, and long term maintenance of media systems related spaces.
  • Partner with support leads to convey vital implementation and provide needed training on systems.
  • Participate and help run all aspects of project programming for media systems related devices (DSP, control, signage, video).
  • Responsible for making improvements to systems, processes, and designs to stay ahead of with existing solutions and adopt R&D of new technology strategies.
  • Write engineering documentation, how-to guides, root-cause analysis, and technical proposals.
  • Work independently by owning, prioritising, and communicating issues and tasks with minimal mentorship.
  • Complete tasks with a high attention to detail.
  • Flexibility in work hours to ensure critical coverage of productions and special events.
  • Serve as contact point for Tier 2 support and provide troubleshooting mentorship/direction in resolution of escalated issues.
  • Able to make decisions, execute on delivering those solutions, and confers with more senior professionals during unique situations of complex issues to achieve successful resolution.
  • Proactively identifies potential issues and brings potential solutions to managers.
  • May provide a leadership role during events and media systems installations based on their advanced experiences.
