Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, quality Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in EVSE, power electronics, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies (8D, FMEA, SPC, etc.).
  • Experience with supplier quality management, construction quality, and audit processes.
  • Familiarity with reliability engineering principles and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis methods and tools (e.g., Minitab, ReliaSoft).
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC 61851, UL 2202, and other EVSE-specific requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with failure analysis techniques and root cause investigation processes.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) processes in alignment with industry standards.
  • Hand on experience with APQP and PPAP processes.
  • Create and execute quality plans, including inspection and test plans, for EVSE products and construction projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction, and Field Service) to establish quality requirements and resolve quality issues.
  • Monitor and analyze field data to identify trends, failure modes, and areas for improvement, working closely with suppliers and Field Service teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and 8D problem-solving processes for field failures.
  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of EVSE components and systems to ensure product compliance with specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality standards and ensure their adherence by performing supplier audits and assessments, verifying process controls, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and track supplier corrective actions to closure.
  • Oversee construction quality processes to ensure proper installation and commissioning of EVSE chargers.
  • Work with contractors and site managers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze quality data to identify areas for process optimization and defect reduction, leading or participating in kaizen events and other lean initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or Six Sigma is a plus
