Requirements
  • At least three years of experience as an industrial control system or automation engineer.
  • Industrial electrical design experience in consumer goods, renewable energy, gas processing, chemical, power, waste management, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Responsibilities
  • Create all project documents according to internal processes to ensure that designs meet client expectations.
  • Create Programmable Logic Controller programs and human-machine interface applications from user requirements or functional specifications.
  • Perform system validation according to scope documentation and project requirements.
  • Work with clients to develop project scope and estimates, develop proposals, and carry projects through completion.
  • Direct assigned teams in the field, assign priorities consistent with project needs, and report progress to project and engineering management.
  • Design electrical schematic packages by laying out input/output, designing magnetic circuits, fusing, control panel layouts, bills of material, and cable layouts.
  • Perform sizing calculations for power, heat dissipation, wire sizing, and fusing.
  • Perform calculations for control system network layout and traffic analysis.
  • Lead large projects by defining and issuing work to assigned team members, or run multiple small projects with minimal direction.
  • Specify and configure variable-frequency drives and servo drives for applications.
  • Travel up to 25%.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or equivalent experience.
