- Successfully completed vocational training as a social insurance specialist, or completed commercial vocational training, ideally in healthcare, or a comparable qualification.
- Fluent German, both written and spoken.
- Routine proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Social competence, organizational skills, and an independent, structured working style.
- Review and process incoming benefit documents, handle written correspondence and telephone inquiries, request necessary information or decision-relevant documents, involve experts when needed, and manage the professional and legal clarification process.
- Pay benefits within existing authorization levels and submit cases to a higher-authorized approver when necessary.
- Issue approvals and, in doubtful cases, prepare a reasoned decision proposal for a higher-authorized approver.
- Review other employees’ cases as part of benefit-specific quality assurance and internal control measures when holding the required authorization level, and conduct the associated consultations.
- Process customer complaints.
- Temporarily or permanently take on special tasks within the work area, such as testing tasks for the further development of technical systems or participation in professional working groups.
- Initial professional experience in statutory and/or private health insurance, preferably in claims or benefit assessment.
