  • A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
  • Five to ten years of manufacturing experience is required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
  • Project management experience is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD or similar design software is required.
  • Deep knowledge of line balancing, manning calculations, productivity analysis and loss analysis, capacity analysis, ergonomic risk analysis, time studies, standardized work, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, lean manufacturing, and statistical process control is required.
  • Experience developing production simulation models is required.
  • Experience with low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing is required.
  • Experience using digital tools for motion capture and time studies is required.
  • The employee must work solely in a plant office, frequently sit, and operate a computer.
  • The employee must frequently be exposed to production areas.
Responsibilities
  • Implement, support, and facilitate lean manufacturing principles to improve operational efficiencies and eliminate waste.
  • Apply industrial engineering tools to improve material flow, operational processes, workstation design, ergonomics, and continuous improvement.
  • Design the flow of work to minimize waste and optimize throughput.
  • Develop and maintain standard labor hours, cycle-time data, and move-time data.
  • Use data, information, and reports to identify waste and improve operational efficiency through value stream mapping and other tools.
  • Improve the flow and storage of material into and through the facility to reduce waste associated with movement and handling.
  • Develop and document staffing plans for each segment of the facility.
  • Initiate and implement cost-reduction projects.
  • Analyze and improve job safety through ergonomic risk identification and reduction.
  • Support the facility's Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis process.
  • Evaluate make-or-buy opportunities throughout the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
