Requirements
- 8+ years of experience, with last 4-5 years in depth, and extensive experience of building secure Checkout micro services solution in Online Retail E-Commerce platforms
- Experience on microservices, APIs and a deep understanding of cloud-native services
- Core Amazon Web Services services including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, Amazon Simple Storage Service, and AWS Lambda for building and deploying serverless functions
- Knowledge of Amazon Virtual Private Cloud, AWS Identity and Access Management
- Infrastructure as Code proficiency with Terraform
- Amazon API Gateway for creating, publishing and managing APIs
- Proven experience migrating eCommerce applications from Monolithic to MACH based Composable Architecture, with specialization in Checkout microservices
- Experience with MACH compliant Ecommerce platforms like CommerceTools, Flooid Commerce, Big Commerce is preferred or knowledge of similar MACH/SaaS systems
- Strong understanding of payment integrations and fraud prevention tools
- Hands-on experience integrating various payment systems such as digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay), Buy Now Pay Later, and Net banking
- Experience in developing event-based solutions (e.g., Kafka, IBM Middleware, AWS Event Bridge)
- Experience with on-premises ecommerce platforms like Oracle e-commerce is an added benefit
- Experience in building caching solutions (AWS Elastic Cache, Redis, MemCache)
- Containerization using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service or Amazon Elastic Container Service
- Database management with AWS databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB for NoSQL and Amazon RDS for relational data
- Performance monitoring and observability with CloudWatch, tracking metrics and alarms
- Experience with data monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray
- Proficiency in developing scalable No-SQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
- Working experience with REST and SOAP
- Knowledge of data encryption and tokenization
- Knowledge of securing APIs using OAuth, certificates or API keys
- Experience with different API Management solutions (Amazon API Gateway, IBM API Connect, MuleSoft, Azure, etc.) for Retail vertical and implemented for different customers
- Ability to provide strategic direction to business and IT teams on best practices for Ecommerce use cases
- Excellent technical, communication, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills with strong client interaction experience
Responsibilities
- Migrate the existing on-premises Online E-commerce Cart, Checkout, Payment Systems and Pricing systems and their day-to-day processes to MACH compliant SaaS Ecommerce Engine
- Develop and maintain secure Checkout microservices for Online Retail E-Commerce platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement MACH-based composable architecture for ecommerce platforms
- Implement cloud-native services and infrastructure as code to support scalable ecommerce solutions
- Develop event-based architectures and integrations (e.g., Kafka, AWS EventBridge) for ecommerce workflows
- Integrate various payment systems including digital wallets, Buy Now Pay Later, and Net banking
- Implement and manage API gateways and API management strategies for microservices communication
- Migrate and modernize on-premises ecommerce platforms to MACH-compliant SaaS solutions
- Ensure security, compliance, and fraud prevention measures across checkout and payments
- Provide guidance on ecommerce best practices and strategic direction for business and IT teams
- Develop and maintain caching solutions and database strategies suitable for high-traffic ecommerce systems
- Monitor performance and observability using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and X-Ray
- Work with containerized deployments using AWS EKS or ECS
- Experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) and relational databases (RDS)
- Ensure secure data handling with encryption and tokenization
- Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to deliver ecommerce projects on time and within scope
- Provide technical presentations and client interaction as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience migrating eCommerce applications to MACH-based composable architecture is preferred
- Experience with MACH compliant Ecommerce platforms like CommerceTools, Flooid Commerce, Big Commerce is preferred
- Knowledge of on-premises e-commerce platforms such as Oracle e-commerce is an added benefit
- Experience with caching solutions such as Redis or Memcached is advantageous
- Experience with API Management platforms beyond AWS (IBM API Connect, MuleSoft, Azure) for retail verticals is a plus
- Strong client interaction and presentation skills are desirable
