About the job

Requirements
  • A degree in one of the humanities, social sciences, or a related field with educational preparation for the role of manager or administrator.
  • A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a health management role.
  • Knowledge of or experience working within a unionized environment.
  • Standard First Aid with CPR certificate.
  • A satisfactory physician’s assessment of fitness to work.
  • Satisfactory criminal record clearance.
  • A valid driver's license, access to a safe and reliable vehicle, and the ability to travel.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor program delivery, planning, and organizational leadership.
  • Support people with complex behavioural and medical needs in a safe home environment through a family-centred approach.
  • Act as a community liaison and coordinate special projects as assigned.
  • Report to the Regional Manager and Directors.
  • Manage and supervise multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining confidentiality, diplomacy, and professionalism.
  • Conceptualize new programs and services and plan, organize, direct, and implement community-based activities and programs collaboratively.
  • Provide services that support and reflect positive cultural practices.
  • Recruit, provide orientation to, schedule, and evaluate personnel.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and support for team members to manage conflict openly and constructively.
  • Schedule and attend staff meetings and participate in other required meetings.
  • Maintain the home in a neat and clean state at all times.
