- Experience with counter-threat finance; human intelligence and signals reporting, criminal and regulatory investigations, designation cases, and Bank Secrecy Act reporting mechanisms such as Suspicious Activity Reports may also qualify.
- Competence using specialized intelligence analysis tools, including Proton, KaChing, DataXplorer, and Voltron Suite.
- Competence using intelligence report aggregators and automated message handling system search tools, including TAC, RMT, NGT, and Horizon.
- Competence using intelligence data visualization tools, including Google Earth, Palantir, Analyst Notebook, and Target Cop.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Proficiency using analytical tools to exploit raw financial data, business registry data, and corporate company data.
- Knowledge of interagency threat finance cells.
- Skill in implementing and using best practices and proper tradecraft, and determining information relevance against standards set by the U.S. government.
- Experience reviewing, prioritizing, and managing submitted requests.
- Knowledge of interagency restrictions and sensitivities concerning data sharing, including the steps necessary to share such data.
- Knowledge of relevant Department of Defense intelligence and intelligence oversight policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Expert-level experience working with U.S. government departments and agencies other than the Department of Defense in policy formulation, acquisition, finance, drug law enforcement, security, and disrupting or degrading threats from drug trafficking, piracy, transnational organized crime, and threat finance networks related to illicit drug trafficking activities.
- Support Threat Finance Intelligence analysis and facilitate intelligence agencies' and other Department of Defense counter-threat-finance activities throughout the customer area of responsibility.
- Work with multiple U.S. government law enforcement agencies and U.S. military organizations.
- Provide intelligence analysis services pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 284 and Section 1022 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2004, as amended.
- Provide counter-threat-finance and Threat Finance Intelligence analysis supporting Department of Defense strategic, operational, and tactical activities for law enforcement agencies.
- Contribute to theater-wide Threat Finance Intelligence analytical products supporting counter-threat-finance activities.
- Provide analysis to identify and detect threats and develop targeting and interdiction recommendations for counter-drug, counter-terrorism, counter-transnational organized crime, and counter-threat activities.
- Support planning, organization, and coordination of counter-threat-finance activities in combatant-command areas of responsibility and areas of interest.
- Support Department of Defense counter-threat-finance program reporting by drafting correspondence and briefings for Department of Defense and U.S. government law enforcement personnel.
- Monitor finance-oriented assessments and provide counter-threat-finance and Threat Finance Intelligence advice supporting case files, evidentiary material, designation packages, and actionable intelligence.
- Analyze issues, develop courses of action, and provide operational alternatives to Department of Defense component leadership in response to law enforcement agencies' requests.
- Provide briefings to Department of Defense component leadership and analytical products for Department of Defense briefings to law enforcement personnel.
- Assist in developing Threat Finance Intelligence-derived action plans, papers, reports, and target packages.
- Develop action plans describing objectives against adversary financial networks, interagency operations and activities, intelligence-analysis activities, and coordination with military operations.
- Develop papers describing adversary financial networks, financial assets, storage methods, transfer processes, vulnerabilities, and interagency capabilities that can exploit those vulnerabilities.
- Develop reports that update operations and activities, document lessons learned, and summarize ongoing operations or intelligence-analysis support.
- Develop target packages describing targets, their significance within a network, centers of gravity, vulnerabilities, effects of disruption, and community reporting.
- Provide program and policy support for counter-threat-finance conferences, including planning, setup, execution, removal, and follow-on support.
- Assist in drafting guidance and provide expertise on Department of Defense counter-drug, counter-terrorism, counter-transnational organized crime, and counter-threat-finance policy implementation.
- Assist in developing strategic documents, Department of Defense directives and instructions, and other policy issuances addressing counter-threat-finance challenges.
- Support Department of Defense collaboration with law enforcement, intelligence, federal departments, and agencies on counter-threat-finance, counter-transnational organized crime, counter-drug, and counter-terrorism issues.
- Analyze complex strategic, policy, and program issues and provide analysis to Department of Defense components.
- Receive and analyze Threat Finance Intelligence information from Department of Defense components and the Intelligence Community, including Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information.
- Additional certification such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist or Certified Fraud Examiner.

Modular Genius awarded Modular office project for Amentum. Amentum supports the Department of the Army with the disposal of aged munitions, and its onsite team in Huntsville, Alabama needed a dedicated place to work. To get that space in place quickly, Amentum turned to Modular Genius. Modular Genius has been awarded a 4,256 sq. ft. modular office project for Amentum, delivering a new single-story building. The layout includes 12 offices and two restrooms, an IT and storage room and a locker room. This building will give Amentums staff a fully functional working space right on the jobsite in a short window of time. Completion is scheduled for Q4 2026.

Dan Driscoll resigns as Army secretary. * Dan Driscoll has submitted his resignation as Army secretary * The Army will lack a Senate-confirmed civilian or military leader after his exit * Driscoll has served as Army secretary since February 2025 Breaking Defense reported that two Army officials confirmed the resignation, with one official saying Driscoll tendered it following a conversation with Trump about the state of the Army. WSJ reported that Driscoll's exit follows a period of reported tension with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, a two-time Wash100 honoree, over the Army's direction. Who could succeed Driscoll? Earnings rise, revenue dips at Amentum. By ExchangeMonitor Earnings rose at Amentum, Chantilly, Va., in the third quarter of fiscal 2026 although its near-term revenue dipped from contract protest delays and other factors. Net earnings for the quarter ended July 3 were $66 million, or $0.27 a share, up from $10 million, or $0.04 a share, in the year-ago quarter. Quarterly revenue was $3.5 billion, down year-over-year from $3.56 billion. Quarterly revenue for the Global Engineering Solutions segment, where Amentum directs its Pentagon and Department of Energy work, was $2 billion, down from $2.1 billion in the year-ago period. "Looking ahead, we've made significant progress executing our strategy and our leading business development indicators remain robust including recently announced key wins and partnerships in global nuclear energy," said Amentum CEO John Heller. In addition to other nuclear work, Amentum leads environmental remediation teams for Idaho National Laboratory and the Oak Ridge Site in Tennessee. In the earnings presentation, Amentum noted that it was recently picked by DOE's National Nuclear Security Administration to negotiate a lease for an artificial intelligence data center and related energy facilities at the Savannah River Site in South Carolina.
