We are looking for an experienced internal communications professional to own executive communications and be the primary comms partner to various functional leaders across our organization. In this role, you’ll leverage your experience building and implementing internal communications that will inspire, educate, and align global Asanas around our mission, values, and impact. You’ll partner closely with our senior leaders to craft clear, compelling narratives that speak to the value we create for our customers and the strategies and objectives that get us there. You will co-create with department and program leads to steward their teams through change and growth, balancing communicating the goals and outcomes of the business with what we call ‘heartitude’ - honoring what makes us human, taking the time to play and have fun, and creating meaningful experiences for their own sake.
You will help identify impactful communications opportunities, write clear content and distill complex topics into simple messages, and design creative campaigns to engage employees throughout the year. You will be a senior individual contributor and report to the Head of Employee Communications and Experience as part of our People Team and partner closely with our Communications & Corporate Marketing team as well as department heads across the business.

You are an excellent writer and visual communicator with a meticulous eye for detail. You are an owner and enthusiastic driver of change. You are adept at working directly with senior executives on messaging and communications and an ability to influence and build high impact partnerships. You’re a self-starter, set high expectations for yourself and others, and value bringing some levity to work everyday!
What you’ll achieve
Executive Communications (65%)
- Develop clear, engaging company and executive communications that consistently connect Asanas to our mission and values while driving awareness of our strategy, objectives, and progress
- Provide strategic communications support to department heads on messaging and positioning; influence stakeholders as needed to ensure communications are compelling, clear, and aligned with our desired messages and tone.
- Co-create and ghostwrite clear and engaging executive and all company communications
- Drive communications plans for change initiatives thoughtfully, and proactively, coming up with creative, mission-centered change management solutions.
- In collaboration with Chiefs of Staff and People Partners, develop, maintain, and execute departmental change plans from intake to completion; drive strategic communications plans to support change management
- Be an essential and trusted partner to leaders, providing regular feedback and coaching them to more effectively communicate, building trust, and cascading with context—coaching leaders in:
- business storytelling
- becoming better communicators
- executing compelling narratives around change

- Develop strategies to effectively and swiftly respond to a variety of crisis situations.
- Measure and improve the effectiveness of messaging, channels and practices.
Manager Communications (35%)
- Own and drive the cascade of information to senior leaders and all managers to deliver timely, actionable information.
- Design and deliver a quarterly leadership packet with key messaging, positioning, and action items for managers
- Own all manager channels and communications calendar; set norms for how/where to push information relevant to Managers across channels (Asana, slab, slack, etc.)
- Work with People Development and Manager Enablement stakeholders to drive strategic alignment on messaging across manager initiatives
- Develop content strategy for quarterly Manager Town Hall or other live communications forums
About you
- 7-10 years of experience in a strategic internal communications or related role
- Has experience working for a company selling to large enterprises in competitive environments
- Has experience working for a globally distributed company
- Has experience with executive, change management, marketing, and/or crisis communications
- Exceptional writing, editing, and visual communication skills with a meticulous eye for detail
- Ability to quickly grasp information across a variety of subject areas and build clear communications, making complex ideas easy to understand
- Communicates up, across, and within the team with clarity and purpose
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills; executing with speed, high level of accuracy and efficiency, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Ability to adapt quickly to change in a highly dynamic environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities; exhibits flexibility, resilience, and grace under pressure
- Self-starter and strategic thinker, capable of collaborating with and influencing a range of stakeholders and making an impact quickly
- Demonstrates outstanding judgment and discretion; exemplifies business ethics and is able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we’re committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $190,000 - $256,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
