What believers are saying

  • July 2026 brought Mike Welty for commercial-industrial business development before RFPs.
  • Tony Pugliese joined June 2026 from South Jersey Industries and Elizabethtown Gas.
  • Updated August 2026 offices signal active hiring and a broader Northeast operating footprint.

What critics are saying

  • CP remains heavily exposed to New Jersey public-infrastructure spending and local procurement cycles.
  • Cornerstone integration still ties structural execution to a 2022 acquisition and key personnel retention.
  • Large AEC firms can underprice CP; one lost utility client could stall the growth plan.

What makes CP Engineers unique

  • 2022 Cornerstone acquisition added structural engineering depth to CP's New Jersey platform.
  • July 2026 hires Tony Pugliese and Mike Welty deepen utilities and commercial-growth relationships.
  • Three offices in Sparta, Parsippany, and State College support regional cross-selling and delivery.
