Computer Science Intern
Remote internship; the team is local to Huntsville, with in-person collaboration possible.
About the job
- Must be a United States citizen and able to obtain a United States government security clearance.
- Must major in Computer Science and have a targeted graduation date of May 2028.
- Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
- Must have excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must demonstrate computer literacy.
- Must be able to work in teams.
- Must demonstrate written and verbal communication, critical thinking, leadership, and self-directed learning abilities.
- Apply cybersecurity techniques to offensive and defensive missions.
- Create custom software applications, including ideation, development, and testing.
- Develop technology demonstrations using commercial cloud infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
- Assess new application ideas.
- Research competitor offerings.
- Develop applications through coding and programming as part of a team and demonstrate a prototype at the end of the internship to company leadership.
- Experience with a group programming project.
- Experience with Agile processes, especially Scrum.
- Proficiency in Java and Python.
- Experience with front-end and/or back-end development.
- Experience with Node.js.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience with cloud systems including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Experience developing software projects as a hobby.
