Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the monthly close for RCI across the Australia market, including commission and SG&A costs, and report issues to the International Finance Director.
  • Report sailed revenue performance and other key performance metrics monthly.
  • Manage the annual operating plan process for sailed revenue and expenditure, including operating and capital expenditure.
  • Manage the quarterly and monthly market forecast processes and deliver accurate forecasts.
  • Prepare annual plan and quarterly forecast presentations for senior-management review meetings.
  • Identify and quantify risks and opportunities in forecasts and plans.
  • Manage the capital acquisition request process, justify capital expenditure benefits, and facilitate approvals.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting on ship and market performance.
  • Facilitate the monthly pre-close variance analysis review and prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Establish periodic communication protocols between Australia Finance and corporate functions for accounting and forecast information.
  • Partner with the commercial and sales team to develop and review commission proposals.
  • Partner with International Marketing to understand investment decisions and return on investment.
  • Analyze commission expenditure, channel performance, and profitability.
  • Partner with budget owners to review vendor selection proposals and bids.
  • Oversee Finance review of contracts.
  • Assist business managers with cost and benefit justifications for capital investment projects, including internal rate of return and net present value calculations.
  • Analyze capital projects for reasonableness and facilitate their timely approval.
  • Conduct post-project reviews of capital investments to verify forecast benefits.
  • Manage one member of staff within the Australia Finance team.
  • Develop the Australia Finance team by addressing performance, development, retention, and workload optimization.
  • Assist the International Finance Director, Brand Finance Vice President, and senior management with strategic planning, market development, and other ad hoc projects.

Royal Caribbean completes $1.25B bond offering to refinance debt

Royal Caribbean Group has completed a registered public offering of $1.25 billion in senior unsecured notes due 2034. The notes, which carry a 5.550% interest rate, will mature on 20 January 2034 unless redeemed earlier. The cruise operator plans to use the net proceeds primarily to repay part of its outstanding floating rate term loan facilities. Any remaining funds will go towards repaying or refinancing other existing debt. BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BofA Securities, Inc., and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. served as lead book-running managers for the offering. The notes were sold pursuant to an automatic shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on 29 February 2024. Royal Caribbean Group operates 71 ships across three wholly owned brands.
