Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required (preference in supply chain, business, engineering, finance); Master’s Degree a plus (but not required)
- 6-10+ years of experience in international logistics or supply chain, at least 5 in drayage operations or related services like warehouse receiving, truck management, port operations, ocean freight, transportation brokerage, or freight forwarding
- Data and process-oriented, comfortable learning data analysis tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to thrive as part of a team or individually
- Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships with stakeholders
- Comfort working in a fast paced environment with things that change often
- Desire to set goals for development and the steps to achieve them
- Experience in Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or GBQ a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead a ~15-person team of regional drayage managers and centralized execution team
- Own the long-term drayage vision and strategy, establishing a 12-18 month roadmap to build and refine the drayage product
- Drive weekly performance to speed, cost, and quality targets, root-causing and taking corrective action as needed on misses
- Manage the performance of national and regional drayage carriers through weekly and quarterly business reviews
- Minimize accessorial exposure in support of drayage financial goals and margin targets
- Identify opportunities for systematic process improvements, partnering with Tech, Finance and Sales as needed to enable
- Provide executive-level updates on key initiatives and/or problems being worked, both in written presentations and verbal communications
- Execute on cross-functional initiatives, driving (vs. supporting) when needed, relying on strong relationship-building and communication to move things forward
