Requirements
  • Bachelor’s in Public Policy, Supply Chain, or Business.
  • 7+ years in public procurement or policy implementation.
  • PMP or CPPO preferred.
  • Business Tools – understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio, and the ability to quickly learn other tools, as necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement long-term procurement strategies to optimize cost and service levels.
  • Align sourcing strategies with budget objectives and policy mandates.
  • Benchmark best practices in government procurement innovation.
  • Engages with external agencies and vendors to shape cooperative contracts.
  • Contributes to procurement performance metrics and dashboards for executive use.
  • May lead reform initiatives and support procurement digital transformation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proven experience in strategic procurement planning, contract design, and public procurement innovation.
  • PMP or CPPO preferred.
  • Visionary thinking, public service orientation, collaboration, analytical judgment.
