About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in business, economics, finance, strategy, product, operations, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant experience in management consulting, commercial transformation, product or service development, technology transformation, business design, or complex cross-functional delivery.
  • Ability to take loosely defined problems, create structure quickly, and progress them with limited direction.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including understanding how client needs, proposition design, pricing, contracts, economics, and operating capabilities connect.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including concise executive writing and presentation development.
  • Stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with the confidence to engage senior colleagues and subject matter experts.
Responsibilities
  • Frame ambiguous delivery, business, client, or commercial questions; clarify the core problem, define hypotheses, and structure the work required to reach an actionable answer.
  • Shape, lead, and support work from idea through validation and delivery, including opportunity assessment, stakeholder discovery, solution shaping, business case development, mobilisation, implementation, and benefits tracking.
  • Apply a commercial perspective to transformation topics by considering client value, revenue potential, cost-to-serve, pricing, contracting, operating model implications, scalability, and execution risk.
  • Partner with client-facing teams, product, technology, and business leaders and subject matter experts to identify unmet client needs and translate them into differentiated, feasible, and controlled solutions.
  • Conduct structured analysis using qualitative and quantitative inputs; synthesize complex information into clear insights, choices, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Create executive materials and narratives explaining the issue, evidence, trade-offs, recommendation, implementation path, and decisions required.
  • Establish proportionate delivery plans, governance, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success measures, applying programme management discipline while keeping focus on outcomes.
  • Build alignment across stakeholders with different priorities, influence without direct authority, and navigate uncertainty, challenge, and organisational complexity.
  • Run working sessions and decision forums that move teams from discussion to decisions, ownership, and action.
  • Identify and manage commercial, operational, regulatory, and execution risks in line with company policies and control expectations, while seeking practical routes to progress.
  • Contribute reusable approaches, frameworks, and lessons learned that strengthen the Enterprise Transformation Hub's ability to solve recurring enterprise challenges.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in financial services or another complex, regulated, business-to-business environment is preferred.
  • Project, programme, Agile, Lean, or process-improvement expertise is valuable; formal certification is not essential.
  • An AI-native, self-starting approach, comfort starting from a blank page, rapid learning, and ability to create momentum without perfect information.
  • A consulting-style approach that is hypothesis-led, evidence-based, structured, and focused on practical outcomes.
  • Curiosity about clients and markets, with judgement to balance commercial ambition with feasibility, risk, and control.
  • Low-ego collaboration, resilience, and personal accountability for moving work forward.

Luminary raises $22M to scale AI wealth transfer platform supporting $500B in assets

Luminary, an AI-native wealth transfer and administration platform, has raised $22 million in Series A funding led by Ten Coves Capital. The round included participation from BNY and 8VC, bringing total funding to nearly $32 million since launching in 2021. BNY Mellon's $62.6T custody business drives 70% of revenue through steady fee-based model

BNY Mellon, the world's largest custody bank, oversees $62.6 trillion in client assets, primarily from pension funds, mutual funds, and other institutional investors. The bank generated $5.7 billion in revenue in the second quarter, up 13% year over year, with 70% derived from asset custody and servicing fees. Custody banks hold and service assets for large institutional customers, operating with a fee-based business model that generates reliable earnings across market cycles. BNY Mellon's fees increase as asset levels rise through appreciation or net inflows. The bank also earns revenue from investment management and interest income from sweep accounts, where idle client cash is invested in high-yielding instruments. As one of a handful of major custody banks, BNY Mellon benefits from a competitive moat and has been the best-performing bank stock over the past five years.
