Requirements
  • A minimum of 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience is required.
  • EPA certification is required.
  • A good background and driving record are required.
  • General knowledge of safe working practices and applicable federal and state Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements is required.
  • The employee must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces.
  • The employee must regularly lift or move 50 pounds or more.
  • The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, handle controls, hear, talk, and reach with the hands and arms.
  • The employee must have close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, light commercial furnaces, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, and humidifiers.
  • Perform HVAC installations during periods of high customer demand as a flex responsibility.
  • Check in with the office for scheduled jobs after completing each job and at the end of each workday.
  • Complete all company-required documentation during or at the end of each task.
  • Manage the time allocated to jobs scheduled each day.
  • Check in with clients at the beginning and end of each task and explain the work throughout the visit.
  • Record all materials used for each task on the company-provided forms.
  • Keep the office dispatcher and field supervisor informed of work status as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with customers throughout each service visit.
  • Share thoughts and experiences with coworkers in meetings and one-on-one interactions.
  • Recommend process improvements to the manager to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace at customer properties and in the company vehicle.
  • Work outdoors throughout the seasons and adapt to changing priorities and interruptions.
  • Communicate consistently with customers, vendors, coworkers, and other parties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Light commercial HVAC experience is highly preferred.
