Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a Information Technology Specialist in CONUS/OCONUS - Washington, DC to support an engagement for an independent agency of the United States Federal Govt. that is concerned with the United States' policies regarding energy and safety in handling nuclear material. The agency has a mission to lead national efforts to modernize the electric grid; enhance security and reliability of the energy infrastructure; and facilitate recovery from disruptions to energy supply. 

The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to provide financial, technical, analytical, modeling, project management, and communications support to meet on-going requirements within the agency.

Information Technology Specialist Candidates shall work to support requirements for Program Support and primary role is to provide technical assistance and analytical support to databases, test all system changes to ensure that functionality covering changes are properly implemented and operational, and to update and perform modifications to the existing database.

• Provide support to a web-based comprehensive strategic planning system that houses technical and financial information.

• Design, implement and maintain databases.

• Have experience of business systems containing financial information.

• Have experience with developing databases and using an ASP.Net web form and database.

• Troubleshoot and test system configurations and advise on system management/enhancement issues.

• Collaborate with federal staff to plan, design, schedule, write, and debug client applications.

• Work with users identifying conceptual requirements through completion, including system maintenance and operations.

• Possess the knowledge and experience to protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data and other sensitive data.

• Comply with IT Governance standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

The Information Technology Specialist shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position.  Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent with 3 years of experience programming IT enterprise management systems to configure, maintain, and operate financial, human resources, and enterprise-level reporting systems. Work experience developing relational database management systems using Structured Query Language (SQL), Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), and Java Database Connectivity Technology is preferred. Technical experience in database management, administration, analysis and programming of computerized database is preferred.

TRAVEL:  Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.  LOCATION:  Work shall be conducted at the CONUS/OCONUS - Washington, DC
