About the company

Deutsche Windtechnik maintains and repairs wind turbines for wind farm owners and operators on land and at sea. Its teams work across equipment from manufacturers such as Vestas and Enercon, giving customers an alternative to buying maintenance from the turbine maker. The group combines mechanical repairs with work on electrical controls, spare parts supply and upgrades designed to extend the working life of existing turbines. Customers buy services through maintenance contracts or individual projects, and its US business also operates and maintains solar plants. Deutsche Windtechnik was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Bremen, Germany.

What believers are saying

  • DWT US adds work: its May 2026 announcement reports maintenance had begun across over 700 megawatts in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Technicians gain hands-on equipment: DWT's June 2026 report describes completed Humble upgrades with working turbine machinery and a solar inverter.
  • Amarillo's full-time Travel Technician I gets retirement support: fully vested 401(k) matching becomes available after six months.

What critics are saying

  • Full-maintenance coverage broadens DWT's repair exposure: its onshore contracts extend to protection against natural-hazard damage.
  • DWT offshore repairs depend on outside vessels: crew-transfer ships come from customers or its network of partners.
  • Houston's full-time business systems developer has occasional off-hours duties: maintenance windows or critical updates require support.

What makes Deutsche Windtechnik unique

  • DWT develops wind turbine warning lights: its aircraft-triggered system uses local radio independent of existing infrastructure.
  • DWT assesses turbines beyond their design life: its accredited inspection services cover lifetime extensions after 20 years.
  • DWT US trains for specific turbine platforms: its three-step process combines classrooms, custom online modules and physical turbine practice.
