XIL Framework Tools and Simulation Lead Engineer
About the job
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
- At least 4 years of experience with xIL frameworks and virtual validation, including Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, and Hardware-in-the-Loop.
- At least 4 years of experience with simulation toolchains and system integration.
- At least 4 years of experience with test automation and continuous integration and continuous delivery environments.
- Strong expertise in automotive communication protocols, including Controller Area Network, Ethernet, and Local Interconnect Network.
- Strong expertise in restbus simulation concepts and implementation.
- Experience with version control systems and branching strategies.
- Experience with complex system integration and debugging.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.
- Architect and lead development of scalable xIL frameworks.
- Define modular, configurable, and reusable simulation architectures.
- Ensure seamless integration across toolchains, models, and platforms.
- Drive framework performance, robustness, and scalability improvements.
- Lead development and integration of the xIL tool ecosystem, including simulation orchestration and workflow engines, model and artifact lifecycle management systems, and data pipelines and analytics frameworks.
- Establish continuous integration and continuous delivery strategies for simulation and testing.
- Enable cloud-based and distributed simulation execution at scale.
- Define best practices for automation, performance optimization, and reliability.
- Define architecture and standards for restbus simulation environments.
- Lead development of network simulation models for Controller Area Network, Ethernet, Local Interconnect Network, and FlexRay.
- Ensure accurate representation of missing electronic control units and system interactions.
- Establish reusable libraries and frameworks for signal, timing, and behavior modeling.
- Drive resolution of complex integration and communication issues.
- Partner with global teams in plant modeling, virtual electronic control unit and software development, architecture and integration, and validation and testing.
- Drive enterprise rollout, adoption, and training strategies.
- Influence cross-functional alignment and organizational transformation toward virtual validation.
- Support program execution, prioritization, and risk management.
- A master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Experience within an automotive original equipment manufacturer or Tier 1 environment.
- Hands-on expertise with MATLAB, Simulink, and model-based development.
- Experience with dSPACE, ETAS, Vector, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive, Linux, and embedded systems.
- Experience with XDK or similar execution frameworks.
- Experience with cloud-based simulation and distributed computing.
- Experience with large-scale simulation data and model management.
- Domain expertise in advanced driver-assistance systems or autonomous driving.
- Domain expertise in electrification or propulsion.
- Domain expertise in chassis, body, or infotainment systems.
