Requirements
  • Recent graduate from a U.S. university with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or within 1–2 years of graduation.
  • Mandarin Chinese communication ability.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication.
  • Ability to learn product planning, user research, data analysis, and project management.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, identify core issues, form clear conclusions, and ground product decisions in data and user facts.
  • Strong ownership, follow-through, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate resources and resolve issues.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across engineering, design, and business teams.
Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze user feedback, customer requests, product data, and market information to identify product improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in feature planning discussions, including ideation, user flows, and solution design.
  • Produce requirement documents, user flows, wireframes, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria under PM guidance.
  • Track features from discovery through design, engineering, and launch, ensuring problems are clearly defined and solutions are delivered correctly.
  • Monitor product data and user feedback after launch, surface issues, and propose improvements.
  • Join user interviews and feedback sessions with Shopify merchants and ecommerce brands.
  • Track competitors and produce structured competitive analysis.
  • Convert user insights and market signals into actionable product recommendations.
  • Work with engineering, design, quality assurance, operations, and customer success to drive product delivery.
  • Track project progress and flag issues early.
  • Own assigned tasks, follow through on commitments, and complete post-launch retrospectives.
  • Conduct retrospectives on shipped features and develop product judgment through iteration.
  • Progress toward independently owning a product module or workstream.
Desired Qualifications
  • Internship experience in product management, product operations, business analysis, user research, software development, or a software-as-a-service company.
  • Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, Economics, or Design major.
  • Genuine interest in internet products, software as a service, or the technology industry.
  • Curiosity about new technology and willingness to learn continuously.
